Temporary Trail Closure for Repairs

Temporary Trail Closure for Repairs

September 14, 2016 News

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will be conducting trail repairs that include the installation of culverts on one of the main Copeland trails.

The location of this repair work is the main trail between Parking Lot 1 and Parking Lot 2  (see our map for these locations).  These are the two parking lots on Ingram Road at the North end of Copeland Forest.    On our map, this is Trail Marker #6 and Trail Marker #3.  The main trail will be closed between these two markers the week of September 26th.  Materials and culverts may show up sooner than this which will result in an earlier closure.

The culverts will ensure long-term stability of this trail and thus the continued safety of all recreational users.

The construction zone should not affect the Ganaraska Trail between Marker #7 and Marker #4.
